AIM utilizes several different innovative technology applications to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its products.

ProviderPortal

Introduced in 2002, AIM's ProviderPortal® offer a full range of web-based physician services. Through this portal, provider offices have real-time, 24/7/365 access to preauthorization, claims, eligibility information and a broad array of other services. Currently, AIM receives over one million total preauthorization requests through the web annually. Key services available through the ProviderPortal® include the following:

• Obtain prior authorization approvals on a real-time basis
• Confirm prior authorizations for members referred for service
• Check Patient Eligibility to receive imaging services
• Locate imaging providers in the area that are contracted with AIM or with the patient's health plan.
• Check Claims Status where AIM has been delegated to pay claims
• Exchange Information securely through AIM's tightly managed information network

Imasis

Imasis® is the industry's first and only full-function, easy to use, customizable web-based call center application. This online clinical management system gives health plans the ability to manage outpatient diagnostic imaging within their existing call centers. The reliability, scalability and flexibility offered by Imasis® favorably positions health plans and providers for future advances in technology. The Imasis® application is also used within AIM's call center. Whether used within AIM or within a client's call center, Imasis® offers superior clinical logic, flexibility, and an intuitive user interface, facilitating efficient and credible interactions with the provider community. Similar to AIM's ProviderPortalsm, features of Imasis® can be customized to meet a health plan's unique needs.

OptiNet

OptiNet® is a proprietary AIM program that provides health plans with a comprehensive overview of their imaging network. With this information, health plans can compare their imaging providers in order to determine which providers are the best performers within their networks. OptiNet® utilizes an easy web tool to facilitate provider registration of equipment, services and staffing. Using its proprietary evaluation criteria, AIM uses this information to generate provider value scoring, which allows health plans to identify high-value providers for use in helping members and ordering providers to select the best imaging providers and to support transparency initiatives for consumer-driven programs.
