. Radiology Education Program

Diagnostic Imaging technology and applications are in constant flux. New procedures are frequently introduced and the medical literature often reports new applications for preexisting technology. American Imaging Management has developed a series of educational tools designed to provide easy access to current facts related to the appropriate use of diagnostic imaging studies. Our goal is to make sure that "the right study is ordered at the right time", when it is most likely to benefit the patient.

photoPatient Safety
Our interactive human model allows users to select a specific imaging modality/exam and provides the most up to date estimated radiation dosage for that modality/exam.

photoCommon Clinical Requests
Our educational documents walk you through how to select diagnostic imaging modalities to evaluate common medical complaints.

photoRadiology Pearls
Our radiology technology pearls allow radiology technologists and other imaging personnel to quickly review some of the basic principles of x-ray technology.

photoRadiology Links
This option provides links to informative medical web sites and associations that cover issues such as screening guidelines and the effective use of diagnostic imaging studies.

"Diagnostic Imaging" refers to studies used to aid in diagnosing and treating patients. A wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures is available, from plain film radiographs (x-rays), ultrasounds and nuclear medicine, to complex computer generated images such as computed tomography scans (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
