Chicago, IL – January 29, 2009 – American Imaging Management® (AIM®), an operating subsidiary of WellPoint, Inc. (NYSE: WLP), and leading imaging benefit management and technology company with health plan clients representing over 30 million consumers, announced that it has reached an agreement to provide diagnostic imaging management services for Blue Cross of Idaho. Under this agreement, AIM will administer Blue Cross of Idaho's radiology benefit management program to enhance the appropriate use of advanced diagnostic imaging procedures delivered in an outpatient, non-emergent setting.
