Member Rights
AIM is committed to protecting members' rights as appropriate to the utilization management services that it provides. Some of these basic rights are listed below:
- Members have a right to receive information about AIM, its services, and its staff.
- Members have a right to be treated with respect and dignity
- Members have a right to have the confidentiality of their information protected.
- Members have a right to participate in making decisions about their health care.
- Members have a right to a candid discussion of appropriate or medically necessary treatment options for their conditions regardless of cost or benefit coverage.
- Members have a right to voice complaints or seek appeals of decisions related to their health care.
Members may have additional rights that are defined by state law and/or the client health plan.
