American Imaging Management Appoints Associate Chief Medical Officer

NORTHBROOK, Ill. August 10, 2004 -- American Imaging Management, Inc., a leading provider in utilization, cost, and quality management solutions for diagnostic imaging services, announced the appointment of Maureen White, M.D., M.B.A., to the newly created position of Associate Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Maureen White joined American Imaging Management, Inc., in 2004.  In her new role, Dr. White will oversee radiology domain issues.  By virtue of her background, skills, and experience with radiology management, she will significantly bolster the radiology support for utilization management operations, new technology education, quality assessment programs, and imaging network initiatives.  The needs in these areas have greatly increased within the past year due to rapid growth and the pace of change in imaging technologies.

Before joining AIM, Dr. White was an Attending Physician at DuPage Radiologists, Hinsdale, IL covering multiple sites in two metropolitan Chicago healthcare systems. From 1988 to 2002, Dr. White was a practicing physician at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare (ENH).  During her tenure, she served as a Senior Attending Physician, the Division Chief for Body Imaging, and the Director of Department Finance and Business Development.  While at ENH, Dr. White served on multiple institutional, clinical, and business committees. From 1987 to 1988 she was Attending Physician at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ.  From 1985 to 1987 she was Attending Physician in the Department of Radiology and Assistant Director of Ultrasound at Georgetown University Medical Center.  From 1983 to 1985 Dr. White was Clinical Assistant in Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. White received her Master of Business Administration from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.  She completed her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati Medical School, and received her Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Dr. White completed her radiology residency and fellowship in cross-sectional imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University Medical School.  She completed her internal medicine internship at Evanston Hospital, affiliated with Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago, IL.

Dr. White is a Fellow in the American College of Radiology (ACR), and a Diplomat of the American College of Physician Executives, American Board of Radiology, and the National Board of Medical Examiners.  She is a member of the American Medical Association, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, and Society of Gastrointestinal Radiologists.  Dr. White serves on the Economic Committee for General and Pediatric Radiology, of the ACR Economics and Health Policy Department, and is an ACR CT Accreditation Program Reviewer.

Dr. White was appointed as Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology at Northwestern University Medical School.  She is a Section Editor for the journal Abdominal Imaging and has served as an editorial reviewer for multiple medical journals.  Dr. White is co-editor of the book Duplex Sonography, Springer-Verlag Publishers, NY and has multiple writings in book chapters, publications, scientific presentations, and invited presentations.
